Jin Fang: I began in the medical field at very young age by watching my parents hard at work. At age 5, I watched my father mix Chinese herbal medicine to treat various diseases. As an adult, I have been involved in acupuncture and herbal practice near three decades started 1983 in China.

Xue-cheng (John) Shang: When I was 18, I was a "barefoot doctor" for three years in a village during the Cultural Revolution. In 1978-1983, I studied at the Traditional Chinese Medicine University in Hangzhou, China. Later, I stuied in Department of Orthopetic at the University of Shanghai School of Medicine. I was an orthopetic surgeon in China for 13 years before came to USA.
